Ashleigh & Chris's Coronado Island Wedding
(The Proposal as narrated by Ashleigh) We had just moved downtown from the suburbs after Chris sold his condo. He said that we were going on a date to celebrate the sale and we took the ferry boat over to Coronado. We went and had Dinner at Peohe's on the water. After dinner he said that we should go for a walk over to the Marriott because we had always joked that we would get married there someday. As we were walking, the sun was setting and the light was reflecting off of the buildings of downtown. We came to a small beach just past Il Fornaio and he pointed out that there were some sunflowers in the shape of a heart on the beach. He said that we should walk over and look at them. We ended up in the middle of the heart and he got down on 1 knee. Little did I know, our friend Eric (best man) and other friends were hiding behind an electrical box taking pictures of the whole thing. They popped out after to surprise me. After this, we took the ferry back to downtown to meet friends out to celebrate. We went to the rooftop bar Altitude and when the elevator doors opened up, my parents, best friends from Las Vegas, and his family were all there to surprise me. I had no idea at all!
